1. Migration procedure

It is possible to install an agent for Citrix replacing an already installed agent for Windows without removing:
- the configuration
- the historical data

Before installing the agent for Citrix, agent for windows must be uninstalled (add/remove programs).

Install the agent for Citrix.

By default, the agent for Citrix will reuse the historical data files generated by the agent for Windows. Data already recorded by the agent for Windows will be still accessible through the Citrix agent.

2. Retrieving the events configuration file from the Windows agent.

Copy/Replace the file 'event.ini' from the agent for Windows directory (<SYSLOAD_DIR>\sldrmd) into the agent for Citrix directory : <SYSLOAD_DIR>\sldrmd_ctx.

Open the file under notepad and replace :

[TYPE]
type=03

by

[TYPE]
type=22

Restart the agent.

3. Retrieving the entity configuration file from the agent for Windows

Copy/Replace the file 'entity.ini' from the agent for Windows directory (<SYSLOAD_DIR>\sldrmd_ctx) into the agent for Citrix directory : <SYSLOAD_DIR>\sldrmd_ctx
