Hi,
I quote the following from the Dollar Universe Brochure.
http://www.orsyp.com/resource-center/pdf/E...se_Brochure.pdf
Dollar Universe offers a comprehensive solution for JAVA environments.
Dollar Universe triggers Web Services, JMS, EJB postings and provides
the ability to subscribe to any JAVA event. This bi-directional support of
JAVA jobs provides the full functionality that any organization would
require for integrating JAVA applications into the automation footprint.
I need to trigger a web service from a uproc but I don't seen any support for this. I am running Dollar Universe Version 5.3 and the Windows Client Version 2.4. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
John.

Hi John,
Could you describe more specifically what you mean by "trigger a web service" ?

A.

Hi Ary,
What I need to do is to call a web service from a uproc. The solution that I've come up with is to call a Java console application from the uproc script. The java console application then calls the web service. This is also the solution that is suggested on this thread.

Thanks,
John.

Hello,
you are correct. So you can build a solution with some scripting where you use Java - like you said you can call a Java console application from the uproc and this java console application calls the web service.
Another solution is to make the Web Service available as an EJB and use the EJB Uproc type in Dollar Universe.
