Hallo everyone

Since a couple of days we have a problem with the Launcher process.
The launcher process stops working without user intervention and sets the wakeupdate to 2099. (see uxlst command below)
As soon as we shut down the $Universe application and restart it, it works again until the same problem occurs again. This problem usually manifests itself every 24 hours.
Does anyone have similar problems or even better, a solution for it?

Hello,

what is our OS, Dollar Universe release and exact patch version (you can include the uxversion file in your reply).

Such issues may happen either with obsolete patch level or when a file is corrupted.

When did you last reorganize your Dollar Universe company?

Our OS is HP-UX (Itanium)

Our Uxversion is:
Version v500 (2006/21/2001)
Start of update RE0021D installation (20040730104711)
End of update RE0021D installation (20040730104711)
PATCH 17227 (20040730105238)

We run the reorg every sunday and we also ran it most of the times during our forced shut-downs.
On monday we had to run the ux_raz_fic because the file u_fmcx50 was corrupt.

2 things:

1- As your last reorganization is quite recent and you already met a case of corrupted file, we would recommend a ux_raz_fic of files
u_fmsb50, u_fmsp50, u_fmtp50, u_fmph50 and u_fmhs50.

Please be aware this will delete the execution history records, and all the launches. This action should take place when no jobs are running, with Dollar Universe stopped and with a safety backup of these files prior to the razfic. Scheduled and optional launches will be automatically recreated when restarting Dollar Universe, but any manual launch or launch created via uxordre (Provoked task) will be lost. If you have such launches, be sure to list them before the razfic and recreate them after.

2- Your Dollar Universe release and patch level are very old and obsolete. we would recommend an upgrade to V523 or V533 (both releases have a specific kit for HP-UX Itanium, which is not the case of V500 and V513). Please contact Dollar Access to get the kit and related patches.
