Hello Chris,
you can do the following :
if you are running the V5.3, you need to create 1 Rule with the following characteristics :
Period : 1 Day
Position in period : 1 Calendar Day from Beginning
Offset : None
Days of the week : Check all (all allowed)
Days in month : Check from the 1st to the 5th from beginning
If you are running an earlier version (5.0 to 5.2), you need to create 5 Rules (one for the 1st day of the month, one for the 2nd day of the month, ..., one for the 5th day of the month), with the following characteristics :
Period : 1 Month
Position in period : 1 Calendar Day from Beginning (for the 1st) or 2 Calendar Days from Beginning (for the 2nd) or ... or 5 Calendar Days from Beginning (for the 5th)
Offset : None
Days of the week : Check all (all allowed)
The 5 Rules must be assigned to the Task.
In both cases, the application date of the Rules should be the 1st day of a month.
