We delete the uproc A
We duplicate the uproc S in A
A appears in the list of uprocs but we are unable to open it (this has been repeted more than 5 times) (using the GUI or the Command Line Interface)

Moreover

If we duplicate S into A but with a different description "D" from the original one "D-1" , the old description "D-1" appears (the description of the “deleted version”)

I want to customize U_POST_UPROC that opcmsg is sent when specific uprocs abort.
The problem is that resexe is 0 every time.

I have a problem about the step 99.

When an uproc finish with status aborted because the parsing on the u_post_uproc runns and detect that somenthing is wrong, like the log is not correct or it does not exist, or that the String is not in the log, and I run it again, but with step 99, it runs an finish correctly.

But that not the correct behaviour of this, becasue it has to finish again with status aborted, because the problem is still there in the log or in the variable that we have defined in the uproc.

Here is an easy example to explain this, and I atach the U_POST_UPROC, the U_ANTE_UPROC and the UPROC script.

I run the uproc PRUEBA10A

It runs this script in the uproc - Prueba99.bat, only this:

echo PROCESO ERRONEO > C:\explotacion\lis\fich_log\ProcesoUniverse24052010.log

And the uproc varibles are in variable.jpg, where FICH_LOG=C:\explotacion\lis\fich_log\ProcesoUniverse????????.log

When it runs the first time, pefect, it stop at status ABORTED, because the log is incorrect, and not exist the string PROCESO CORRECTO.

But when you run again with 99 step, it comes COMPLETED. And that it not possible, becasue you still have the PARSING activated to SI=yes.

i'm trying to create an uproc to disable a session.

I created an uproc internal script and added this command :

Can you please help me on Uproc variable setting.

I have created the scripts block in U_ANTE_UPROC as below

The script looks for a file being resident which can happen over a range of working 10 days towards the end of a month and can sometimes go over the end of a month. If the file is not found then th UPROC is rescheduled to run the following day until 10 days are up in which case an error UPROC is started.

The file test, scheduling and error UPROC are all fine. What is needed is a way to test the current date.

Something along the lines of if the current date is equal or greater than the start date (when the uproc was originally scheduled as a task) plus 10 working days then launch the error UPROC.

As Uxdat can be used to provide offsets of days or working days etc. Is it possible to use this to compare 2 dates and see if one is so many days or working days past another? This would be good as month end and year bounderies would not need to be considered.

Something like provide the 2 dates and their format and uxdat provides the offset difference as an integer to represent days or work days. I have a problem with the detection of a file.

I have a resource waiting for a file named SNE67*. I have to receive 22 files SNE67XXXXXX (XXXXX) being a variable part.

I have created 22 tasks that are waiting for the 22 files.

The problem is how can I know the complete filename detected so I can treat it ?

When I make an uxshw res I do not get the complete detected filename :

I would like to share a dynamic variable between U_PROCs (let s say U0, U1 and U2) in the same a session.

U0 would affect the variable
export DATE_TAG=`date +"%Y%m%d_%H%M%S"`

U1 would create a file F1_$DATE_TAG
and
U2 would creade another file F2_$DATE_TAG

So the 2 files would have the same TAG.

Is it possible?

I have what seems to be a fairly straight forward need but can't seem to find the necessary information.

Currently most (maybe all) of our jobs run using VBScripts and are scheduled via Windows Scheduler and located on our Application Server.

With Dollar Universe i am hoping to have these jobs scheduled within DU in order to provide central job monitoring, scheduling, and distribution.

My question is: What is the proper process for creating a job in DU that needs to run on a specific host? Is it just a matter of changing the VBScripts to use UNC names instead of drive letters? What if the job currently need to interact with an application on the remote host? Can the script be delivered to that host for execution locally there?

I hope i'm being clear. Please let me know if anyone needs more information.

I am trying to script a service stop in a uproc on windows using "net stop %service_name%" and the return code for the uproc is "set resexe=%errorlevel%"

The problem is that the command ends correctly but the system log displays "service could not be stopped." And the service stops a minute later... So my other jobs are not started depend of this shutdown uproc cannot start

BIG MISTERY for me:

I try to execute an internal UPROC CL_INT with this command

call c:\outils\system\exploitation\exe\command.bat

yes, at the beginning, i had only a VBS script to execute, and I read that we can't launch it directly in a CL_INT, so, i made a command.bat which launch:

cscript.exe c:\outils\system\exploitation\exe\lanceur.vbs

this VBS launch a XLS file with macros which modify, read and write files into severals directories.

and then,

, the VBS is launched, the UPROC is running status but nothing happens.....
the XLS is not executed but just openned without executing macros.........

When I execute the command.bat from a dos windows or by a double-click, it works ???

so,

I am having problems running a SAS script through a Dollar U Proc. I am using an external script and am able to change directories (so I know something is actually happening) but when I try to run a SAS script (or any other program start command), it seems to get ignored. I have included my command below...

"C:\Program Files\Sas\Sas 9.1\sas.exe" -SYSIN C:\SAS_Files\loopy_registration_sources_new.sas -ICON -NOSPLASH -LOG C:\SAS_Files\logs\loopy_registration_sources_new.log -PRINT C:\SAS_Files\logs\loopy_registration_sources_new.lst

The command works without a problem in a DOS prompt but seems to be ignored in Dollar.

I am using Dollar Universe on a single node on Windows.

What I am trying to do is launch Windows Scripting Host jobs (vbscript) through Dollar Universe. These jobs run fine when executed either directly via command line or when called from windows batch file. The problem is that I can't get them to work through Dollar Universe!! Is there someone that can help me????
I have tried using both internal and external script; I have tried issuing the script command directly, using the windows CALL command, and using the windows START command (with /WAIT). In all case the Dollar Universe attempts to run the script but then continues on with u_batch ... I need to find a way to make it wait for script to finish.
When running the script outside of Dollar Universe the cmd session works fine (waits for completion of the script before continuing on with the batch file. There's obviously something I don't understand about how Dollar Universe / u_batch interprets the commands I am issuing.

I have only one Windows node and I have had no other problems with any of the jobs. Up to this point we have only been running external windows batch scripts through Dollar Universe.

Any help would be appreciated...
